B2B Order Portal
A white-label ordering app for B2B customers, with a mobile app, a Next.js web version and a FastAPI backend. Customers browse their catalogue, place orders and chat with their supplier.
The B2B Order Portal lets a supplier's business customers order from their own catalogue without phoning a sales rep. Each sales location sees its own articles and prices, keeps draft orders, gets push notifications and can chat with the operator. Orders flow straight into the BizniSoft ecosystem.
What I did
- Mobile: built the app alone, from empty repository to v1.1.0 (931 commits, 508 test files).
- Web: led the port to Next.js 16, Tailwind and shadcn/ui, planned as nine phases and delivered in three weeks with a designer and a backend developer.
- Backend: contributed to the FastAPI service both clients use.
Decisions worth mentioning
- A clear rule for where data lives: server data in TanStack Query, short-lived UI state in Zustand, anything that must survive a restart in SQLite.
- A repository and DTO layer with mock and API implementations behind the same interface, so the whole app can run without a backend.
- A hidden developer menu that points a store build at the staging server, while production hosts stay hard-coded so an over-the-air update can never ship a staging URL to customers.
- White-label branding, including a different launcher icon for each brand.
