WingOps Kiosk
An offline-first tablet kiosk for events. Visitors tap the screen, fill in a form (optionally with a video message) and submissions sync when the network comes back.
A tablet at an event plays a looping video. A visitor touches it, goes through a form defined on the server, optionally records an audio or video note, and submits. Event Wi-Fi is unreliable, so every submission is saved locally first and sent to the back office when the connection comes back.
What I did
- Built the app alone (176 of 180 commits).
- Kept all logic in plain TypeScript, with every Expo dependency (database, network, files, secure storage) behind a small adapter interface. The kiosk and form flows are state machines, so they are fully unit-tested with fakes and no React Native renderer.
- Added a remote "setup generation" counter that can send every deployed tablet back through setup without anyone touching it.
